Safety
Glass laminated with a UVEKOL® interlayer at the appropriate thickness will result in safety glass. On impact, the glass fragments will adhere to the interlayer, significantly reducing the risk of serious injury.

Glazing (Germany)
Überkopf Z-70.3-30 with Residual Load Resistance |
 |
UVEKOL® S/OHG laminated glass was tested according to the German DIB regulations for overhead glazing, and received approval under Überkopf Z-70.3-30 with Residual Load Resistance.
To pass DIB’s tests, UVEKOL S/OHG laminates were impacted according to EN356 A1/P2, and had to withstand a snow load of 100 kg per m2 and be capable of supporting their own weight at 50°C for a minimum of 48 hours after being impacted. A range of four glass compositions made with UVEKOL S/OHG have been tested for spans up to 1200 mm. |
