UVEKOL^® S is certified as an interlayer for hurricane resistant glass by Miami Dade County, Florida (NOA 03-1223.04 and 03-1117.05).

Framing systems using UVEKOL S laminated glass with a 0.100" to 0.120" (2.5 to 3 mm) interlayer have consistently passed impact and cycling testing according to the following protocols, typically consisting out of one or multiple impacts by a 9 lb. (4 kg), 2" x 4" (10 x 5 cm) piece of lumber, followed by 9000 cycles of positive and negative wind load pressure.
