• Cytec discovered bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid - the premier extractant for Co/Ni separation.
• Cytec developed the first modified aldoxime formulations used in copper solvent extraction which today are used to produce two thirds of copper SX/EW cathode.

Cytec offers two extraction product families: derivatives of organophosphorus under the trademark CYANEX^® solvent extraction reagents and hydroxyoxime extractants under the trademark ACORGA^® extraction reagents.
