Photo Initiators
Cytec's chlorophosphines (BPD and DPC) and their esters (EDPP and DEPP) are valuable intermediates used in the manufacture of acylphosphine oxide (APO) photoinitiators. APOs are activated by either ultraviolet or visible light and impart outstanding curing properties to acrylic esters, methacrylic esters, acrylonitrile, vinyl acetate and styrene monomers. Applications include radiation curable coatings, printing inks, photopolymeric printing plates, photoresists, UV curable adhesives and others.
