Anaheim, CA

Cytec Anaheim, originally known as Narmco Material Inc. (National Research and Manufacturing Company), was founded by Dr. Glenn G. Havens in 1944. Dr. Havens was commissioned by General Dynamics to develop a superior adhesive system for use on the B-36 bomber. Havens formed his own company and developed a two-part nylon based resin bonding system, which was used for the entire B-36 production period and is currently in the sites's production line. Cytec's materials from this site are found in virtually every commercial and military aircraft in use today.
