Typical Applications

Fabric prepregs are typically used on complex parts because of their ability to conform to a contoured surface. Prepreg tapes allow maximization of the directional properties of the reinforcement. Automated slit tape processing typically uses multiple stands of slit tape which are individually controlled, cut and placed on highly contoured shapes. This process allows maximum reinforcement efficiency with minimum part weight.
