CYCOM 2282 Kevlar reinforced materials offer superior
ballistic performance in compliance with FAA mandated
test methods. Currently used in military rotorcraft,
these versatile materials are available for a wide range
of commercial airliner applications. CYCOM 2282 also
meets all requirement for the FAA's compartment interior
specifications for flame, smoke and toxicity. CYCOM
2282 was selected by Boeing for its cockpit door protection
program on all wide-body aircraft.

Cytec Engineered Materials offers
CYCOM 2282 in a prepreg material form, or as pre-cured
sheet stock. Ballistic panels can be fabricated in standard
widths (38" or 50") and custom length specifications,
for an easy, bolt-on solution in the retrofit market.
