Cytec Engineered Materials' high temperature resin technology includes BMI (bismaleimide) and polyimide technology. These resin systems provide service temperature performance ranging from 400º F (BMI) to 680º F (AVIMID).
Our BMI products include prepregs, RTM resins and molding compounds and are in use on a variety of programs such as the F-22 Raptor, the C-17 Globemaster and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Cytec also offers a film adhesive, FM 2550 that is designed for use with BMI prepreg systems.
Cytec’s polyimide products include the industry standard CYCOM 2237 (PMR-15) as well as the non-MDA containing AVIMID polyimide product line (AVIMID R, RB and N). Also available is FM 680 polyimide film adhesive for high temperature bonding applications.
