Job Description:
Major responsibilties for this position include applying complex business process knowledge and expertise together with a broad understanding of information technologies for the purpose of solving business problems and achieving business strategies. This position will provide a link between business operations and the IT department with the goal of business process improvement and Baan ERP support. The position’s principal accountabilities are analysis, design, testing, training, implementation and support of business process improvement projects. This position requires significant interaction with all levels of the organization.
Additionally, provide direct support for the company Baan users (version 5c) including responding to Cytec Global Help Desk tickets, preparation of queries, translating report needs from users to be turned into Baan or Web Reports. Initial support areas will include Sales Service and Purchasing. This will be expanded to include Baan Warehousing transactions. Develop internal business knowledge needed to support and facilitate information technology-based changes within the supported areas while leveraging existing resources and systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business area - 5-10 years of business improvement and application support preferably in a growing manufacturing environment.
Deep business knowledge and understanding of key IT concepts and tools. Must be able to document business processes and translate them into business requirements that will effectively utilize Information Technology to provide business value. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales and Operations Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Program Management.
