Job Description:
DEPARTMENT

Sales, Service and Application Research of products primarily to the mining industry in USA, CANADA, and MEXICO.

The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting of technical experiments designed to evaluate reagent and plant performance in the solvent extraction process. This will include, at a minimum laboratory, computer and pilot plant assessments. Information has to impart to existing and potential clients to sell both the technology and Cytec extracting products. Organization of visits with and without Reg. Mgrs., account updates, technical and visit reports will be required.

The incumbent will be required to have an intimate knowledge of processes integrated with the solvent extraction process e.g. Leach, Electrowinning and engineering principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND END RESULTS EXPECTED

40% Site visits – Networking within regions

10% Develop and implement technical programs in support of Cytec extractants. Liaise with Technical Specialist. (Analytical Thinking)

15% Knowledge and understanding of related technical process to solvent extraction e.g. Leaching, Electrowinning.

15 % Assess new project opportunities and develop technical account plans (Strategic thinking)

20% Acct. Responsibility – Have a day to day knowledge of the status of all assigned accounts in the regions covered.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science in the engineering or science fields. An in depth knowledge, of product extractants is a must.

ACCOUNTABILITY

As Senior Technical Specialist this position has an impact on the sales of new and existing products in North America.
