Job Description:
Assist the Cluster Manufacturing Director in developing and deploying operational excellence plans for the cluster in conjunction with Group OI Organization. Drive successful implementation of operational excellence plans in conjunction with site leadership. Six-sigma and Lean Implementation – Develop and implement lean and six-sigma organizational development and training plans. Waste Reduction/Resource Utilization Improvements – Analyze utilization of workforce, materials and other resources to identify significant waste reduction opportunities. Develop plans for improving resource utilization through lean concepts, six-sigma methodologies and other disciplined approaches. Lead or facilitate implementation of resource utilization improvements. Other Operational Excellence Improvements – Develop and drive implementation of other operational improvement plans in areas of employee communication and engagement, operational planning and control, maintenance and quality system best practices, etc.
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry; six-sigma green-belt certification; significant training in Lean concepts. Demonstrated success leading lean manufacturing improvements, particularly: 1) Value Stream Mapping 2) 5S and Visual Control 3) Mistake Proofing 4) Quick Changeover 5) Standard Work 6) TPM. Demonstrated success leading resolution of complex problems using six-sigma methodologies. Experience in organizational design and development. Success working in a matrix organization.
Prefer B.S. Chemical Engineering; MBA; Lean certification; Six-sigma black-belt certification. Position will be expected to travel (25%).
