Cytec to Move Monomer Production from Pampa, TX to North Augusta, SC

West Paterson, NJ – December 4, 2008 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) announced today it will be moving its production of monomers in 2009 from a plant in Pampa, TX to its multifunctional monomers and oligomer plant in North Augusta, SC.

The move will help ensure a continued supply of monomers to the UV/EB markets in the Americas with the upcoming shutdown, announced earlier this year, of the older monomer production unit on a former Celanese site in Pampa, TX.
