Cytec to Present on UV Curable Products at Wood and Wood
Composites Conference
Woodland Park, NJ – September 15, 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) will present two papers at the upcoming Third
International Coating Wood and Wood Composites Conference.
The first paper is entitled “Field Applied UV Cured Topcoats for
Wood” and will be presented on Tuesday, September 22 at 9:30 am.
This paper was authored by JoAnn Arceneaux, Technical Manager
for New Business Development, Energy Curable Resins and
Additives at Cytec Industries. It will compare the performance
of field applied UV cured wood floor coatings with that of
conventionally cured wood floor coatings.
The second paper is entitled “Pigmented Coatings Using
UV-Curable Waterborne Dispersions” and will be presented on the
same day at 11:00 am by Jonathan Shaw, Ph.D., Technical Sales
and Development, Energy Curable Resins and Additives at Cytec
Industries. The paper will describe two separate resin
strategies to overcome cure issues encountered with pigmented UV
curable coatings, while still retaining the excellent stain,
scratch and chemical resistance associated with energy curable
polyurethane dispersions (UV-PUDs).
The Third International Coating Wood and Wood Composites
Conference will take place September 22-23 at the Marriot
