Cytec Announces Price Increases on Amino Resins in North and South America

West Paterson, NJ ― September 12, 2008 ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today price increases for its CYMEL®, MELMAC®, BECKAMINE® and UFORMITE® amino resins on all shipments in North and South America on or after September 15, 2008, or as contracts allow.

The price increases by product family in US$/lb are: benzoguanamine ($0.60), conventionals ($0.25), high solids ($0.25), waterborne high imino ($0.10), and HMMM ($0.18).

The announced changes are necessary to offset continued increases of raw materials, and are in addition to the previously announced Methanol surcharge which became effective January 1, 2008, and the price increases for liquid coating resins and additives which became effective July 15, 2008.
