Cytec to Implement Worldwide
Price Increase for Alumina Processing Products
West Paterson, NJ – July 23, 2008 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:
CYT) today announces a global price adjustment of 20 to 30
percent on all mining products used in alumina processing,
including SUPERFLOC® flocculants, MAX HT™ sodalite scale
inhibitors, CYBREAK® defoamers and AERODRI® surfactants. The
adjustment, effective September 1, 2008, is being implemented
due to the escalation in the costs of raw materials, energy and
transportation.
