Cytec Engineered Materials
Receives Northrop Grumman Platinum Source Preferred Award
Tempe, Ariz. – June 15, 2009 – Cytec Engineered Materials, a
division of Cytec Industries (NYSE:CYT), today announced that
its Greenville, Texas site has received the 2008 Northrop
Grumman Platinum Source Preferred Award. Northrop Grumman issues
these awards annually to recognize suppliers for achieving
distinction in product quality, on-time delivery, customer
satisfaction and robust lean processes.
Cytec’s Greenville site supplies epoxy/carbon prepregs and
slit-tape used to manufacture primary structures and inlet ducts
for the F/A 18 and F-35 aircraft. To achieve the Platinum Source
Preferred level, Greenville maintained 100% hardware acceptance
with no late deliveries over a rolling twelve month period. In
addition, Greenville provided exceptional levels of customer
satisfaction and demonstrated process health and lean deployment
throughout the period. This year, Northrop Grumman recognized
130 suppliers at its annual awards banquet which took place on
May 6 in Los Angeles. Cytec is among sixty-two suppliers that
received the Platinum Source Preferred level award.
