for Topcoats on Wood and Plastic Substrates
Cytec Launches UCECOATŪ 7705 aliphatic UV-PUD
Woodland Park, NJ, March 25, 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE:CYT) offers a new solution for high gloss topcoat
applications on wooden furniture and plastic substrates by
introducing UCECOAT 7705 aliphatic UV-PUD.
UCECOAT 7705 has several advantages including good reactivity,
low viscosity and particularly good adhesion on PVC and PET. The
novel solvent free product has one outstanding characteristic
which clearly differentiates it from other UV-PUDs: it confers
to transparent topcoats outstanding gloss in combination with a
mirror effect on different materials.
“This combination of characteristics is rare in the market”,

Industries. “The secret of UCECOAT 7705 is its physico-chemistry
that provides good non-tack free performance, after water
evaporation, with a higher solid content than comparable
materials. This is not only responsible for the outstanding
brilliance and mirror effect observed but also for the resin’s
good resistance properties. In hardness, scratch and stain
resistance, UCECOAT 7705 is comparable, or even superior, to
other topcoat solutions. We therefore believe that this product
opens totally new design possibilities in the market place”, he
