Cytec Reinforces Commitment to
the Pharmaceutical Industry with Latest Product Range at CPhI
Japan
Woodland Park, NJ – March 19th, 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) announced that it will introduce its latest product
range at CPhI Japan from 21-23 April 2009 at Tokyo Big Sight
Exhibition Centre. Cytec will be located at booth H34.
Cytec’s latest products that will be highlighted at CPhI are :

DECMP (Diethylcyanomethylene
phosphonate) which is a versatile reagent used in the
Horner-Emmons-Wadsworth chemistry. The resultant olefinic
nitrile is often reacted further to give amines and amides.

CYTOP® 340
organophosphine (tri-n-butyl phosphine) is an extremely
versatile reagent used in a variety of applications such as
the synthesis of specific Wittig reagents, as a processing
aid to replace triphenylphosphine in Staudinger and
Mitsunobu reactions and as a catalyst ligand for Heck and
Suzuki coupling reactions.

CYTOP® 380
organophosphine (tri-n-octyl phosphine) is a high purity
ligand for homogeneous catalyst systems.

DPPP(1,3-Bis(diphenylphosphino))
propane is a high purity bidentate ligand for metal catalyst
systems.

DPCP (Diphenylchlorophosphate)
is a versatile building block for pharmaceutical and life
science intermediates and the favored coupling reagent in
carbopenom synthesis.

Ionic Liquids -
A wide range of phosphonium based ionic liquids for catalyst
recycle, reaction solvents and phase transfer catalysts.
