Family of Flexible Energy Curable Resins for Refinishing and
Spot Repair
Woodland Park, NJ – March 17, 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) today announces the launch of EBECRYLŽ curing resins
8412, 8501 and 8309. This family of resins is designed for low
energy curable applications such as automotive end of line spot
repair. These highly flexible and tough urethanes can also be
used in flexible filled coatings on substrates ranging from
metal to metalized plastics. These unique properties make them
an ideal candidate for utilization in thin film solar cells.
“This new family of EBECRYL curing resins product is designed to
be the primary resin for the formulation of UV curable
automotive refinish body putties and general metals. They have
excellent pigment wetting with good flexibility and surface
hardness. They are ideally suited for formulators seeking to
expand their offering into automotive refinishing and spot
repairs,” said Michel Philips, Global Technical Sales &
Development Director, RADCURE, Cytec Industries.
