Cytec Introduces New Low Temperature Curing Polyester Resins for MDF Furniture

Woodland Park, NJ, March 4th 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today their launch of the new low temperature curing CRYLCOAT® E38051 polyester resins for MDF furniture in Asia.

CRYLCOAT® E38051resins offer new solutions in furniture design due to its usage flexibility. Its low curing temperature enables savings in energy, labour and production costs. Production is further enhanced with its single or double coating application (one-shot production process) which cuts down multiple-step coating processes.

“CRYLCOAT® E38051 resins are completely solvent and formaldehyde free, thus VOC (volatile organic compound) emission is eliminated. This product is ideal for sand finishes where it performs excellently in chemical stain resistance and can be used for a wide range of colours, gloss and textures,” said Charles Yu, Cytec’s Marketing and Sales Manager, Powder Coating Resins and Additives, China.
