Phenolic Resins for Rubber
and Tires
- ALNOVOL® phenolic novolak resins are used in various rubber compounds as adhesion promoters as well as reinforcing resins. They are cured with CYREZ® amino crosslinkers.
- Cytec’s ALNOVOL® PN 759 offers rubber compounders an outstanding alternative to resorcinol to promote rubber to textile or steel cord adhesion. It demonstrates excellent aging properties and improved adhesion, with low environmental impact and reduced system costs.
- ALNOVOL® grades can be used in various rubber applications and are especially designed for the tire industry.
